Spanish classes in nurseries and schools with La Ola Spanish

Small children are curious about the world around them. Working in your setting, La Ola Spanish will harness your children’s imaginations and creativity and introduce them to a new language.

Our classes, taught by highly qualified native speakers, are designed around the seven strands of the EYFS curriculum. We provide information on how the children have demonstrated skills linked to their progress trackers, meaning you can confidently watch your little people develop.

Each class focuses on movement and activity. Children will be up on their feet, playing games and enjoying themselves. There is singing and dancing, props and most importantly, lots of fun. We plan each lesson to enrich the children’s learning experience.

Planned and led by qualified teachers, La Ola Spanish will ensure the children in your setting enjoy their first experience of learning a second language.

We adapt classes depending on the age group. We cover all areas of the EYFS, and our sessions are specially designed for your setting, your children and their requirements.

For Babies – We know how important it is for babies to learn and try new sensory experiences. Our 10-15 minute baby class is designed to support the development of your tiniest children. We offer a multi-sensory experience through music and early movement, letting babies recognise patterns, rhythms and rhymes. Each class is designed to make your babies smile.

For Toddlers and Pre-schoolers – We make learning Spanish fun. We bring to our classes energy and excitement and the children love the physical aspect of the sessions. Children learn better when they are relaxed and enjoying themselves, and La Ola Spanish incorporates games and music to keep everyone engaged.

Classes usually last 30 minutes. Book us for the hour, and we can deliver a minimum of two sessions.

La Ola have been running Spanish classes at Dulwich Montessori Nursery School for the last few months and I have to say the children adore it. Pat is an exceptional teacher with many years experience, and it shows. She engages all ages from 2 to rising 5s, those with developing concentration skills and those more able to sit for longer periods. The classes mix music, chat, interaction and use of instruments and props skilfully. The children love to dance to Pats songs in front of their peers, building their sense of self and confidence through movement. Our children have picked up so many Spanish words and songs already. I could not recommend Pat and the class more highly.

"We all can dance," he said, "if we find the music that we love." – Giraffes Can't Dance

We believe learning languages unlocks a child’s potential – You are never too young to learn a new language. Children can pick up new words and phrases quickly. Realising they have counted to 10 in Spanish gives them a real sense of success which raises confidence and self-esteem.

We want every child to leave our class with a sense of achievement. Inclusivity is vital to us at La Ola Spanish. All our classes cater for all abilities. Every single child will benefit from our interactive Spanish programme.

Supporting the National Curriculum

All our classes are planned carefully to link with the National Curriculum. We can demonstrate a child’s progress and recommend next steps.

Qualified Teachers

Our teachers have relevant teaching qualifications and vast experience working in a variety of educational settings with different age groups and levels.

Fun & Engaging

Each class takes the children on a different adventure. All our topics are chosen to spark their imagination and take them on a journey of exploration. We visit forests, dive under the sea and transform into superheroes. Combined with the surprise topic, the structure of each class remains the same, so children become familiar and confident with the different stages of a class.
